POP3 Email AccountsCreate unique email address with your domain name to use on your computer in Outlook or Outlook Express. This provides a more manageable system than using web based wmail addresses and they are much more professional. No more obscure addresses because your name is taken. WebmailAccess all your email addresses from any computer in the world. This can be done from your control panel or directly by typing: https://webmail.yourdomain.com/ Login using your email address username and password, then you can read and send emails along with managing your address book. AutorespondersCreate automatic replies to email addresses. This can be used any time and is especially useful when going away and you wish to notify any who sends you an email that you will not be able to reply til you return. Email AliasesAs well as having your email accounts, you are able to create aliases that point to a specific email address. For example, if you have yourname@yourdomain.com as a POP3 account then you can create aliases like admin@yourdomain.com and emails to this address will automatically come through on thje yourname@yourname.com address. Spam ProtectionEach email account comes with a Spam Alerting Service which flags up emails from known spammers. Rules can then be created to block future emails from although this feature should be used carefully as you could block legitimate emails. It is more useful at immediately identifying spam. Web SpaceAll our packages come with a large amount of space suitable for any size web site. Of course if you need more then we can give you more as an optional extra. FTP AccessEach package also comes with FTP Access which is the best way to transfer your site from computer to Internet. There are plenty of free FTP Packages around but we recommend using FTP_Pro from Ipswitch, click here for the site. BandwidthEach package has a different amount of Bandwidth available. This can be upgraded for an additional cost. If a site goes over its monthly bandwidth limit, then they will be charged £0.005 per Mb. Sub-DomainsNot only can you have www.yourdomain.com but you can create sub-domains like: images.yourdomain.com or catalogue.yourdomain.com. This allows you to split up your web site into different sections which can be useful for larger sites. This is an advanced feature that requires a higher level of skill to operate correctly, so please use this feature with caution. DNS ManagementThis feature should not be used unless you are very familiar with DNS settings. Is is all to do with where your domain name is pointing and how it setup. If you want to point the domain to another IP address, then this is where you would change the settings. But be aware any changes could cause all aspects of your site to fail. On-Line Control PanelThis is a new feature we are offering clients and allows you to manage your domain yourself. It makes changing little settings much easier and without asking our support to do it for you. From your control panel you can view all statistics and usage for your site. Change or view email settings, install extra features onto yur web site, create new users and much more. The control panel is accessed by typing in: https://yourdomain.com:8443. You will then enter a username and password that was allocated to you when you signed up with us. Domain Users & Email UsersWhen you buy a package with us, you get one domain user account. This allows you to login to your control panel and manage your account. From their you can also set up additional domain users, if your account type allows you to. Domain Users can access and change all aspects of their domain name and site within their limits. You may only want to allow yourself this access to avoid any problems. If you decide to allocate email addresses to other people, domain users can set them up and then each person with an email address will become an Email User. They can login to the control panel but only have access to their email settings. They cannot alter the domain settings. Free ProgrammesEvery package bought from us comes with a variety of free programmes that can be added to your site to enhance them. We do not provide support for the free packages once they are installed but the web sites of each program are very good and will provide all the support you need. Please click here to view detailed information about the included programmes. Mailing List ToolCreate and manage mailing lists to keep your visitors up-to-date with changes on your web site. CGI SupportYou have access to a dedicated CGI bin to enable you to execute scripts on your site. You can get a Free FormMail script by clicking here. Once you have the script all you have to do is customise one field and then upload it to your cgi-bin (Ascii mode) with permissions set to 744. PHP SupportWrite your own pages using PHP scripting. We currently support PHP 3 & 4. By using PHP with MySQL you can build dynamic feature rich web sites. To learn about PHP, visit www.php.net MySQL DatabasesBoth the business and Enterprise packages come with databases although the home package can be configured to have one at extra cost. MySQL is a flexible database solution providing you with the opportunity to develop more complex sites featuring rich content. SAome of the free programmes mentioned above require a database to work. Databases are also required for producing on-line shops. To learn more about MySQL, visit www.mysql.com PHPMyAdminFor those customers that have access to a database, you will also automatically get this fantastic free programme that helps you control all aspects of the database. Although this is an excellent tool, you still need to know what you are doing as changes are unreversible when working with databases. For more information on PHPMyAdmin, visit www.phpmyadmin.net FrontPage ExtensionsWe can provide support for FrontPage Extensions at no extra cost. This allows users of the Microsoft product to use some of the advanced features. SSI Support (Server Side Includes)This is an additional scripting language that is available to be used should you wish to. SSH AccessThe Enterprise Package comes with limited SSH access, this can be useful to tweak settings on your site but it is only recommended for very advanced users as it can cause the loss of data and / or your site. SSL CertificateThis is an optional extra on all packages, price depends on level of security you wish to have. It allows the web site to have its own secure area. This could be used for a members area or shopping cart. Please ask to discuss price and availability. StatisticsEvery domain hosted comes with a comprehensive statistics programme that tracks every aspect of the visitors to your site. This is invaluable when monitoring the effectiveness of any projects. Your statistics can be accessed via your control panel using your ftp login details. For help on what the different statistics mean click here. Password Protected DirectoriesIf you wish to provide areas of your site that are only accessible with a password, then this is now possible. Place your files in a special folder and create a password. This can be set up from your control panel. 24/7 Email SupportWe offer comprehensive support with every package or service bought from us via email. Daily BackupsWe backup the server daily to prevent any data loss should the server fail. We also recommend that you keep a backup of your web site yourself. This can be done from your control panel. Free Domain NameOur Enterprise package comes with 1 free domain name for the first year. You will then be charged for re-registration on an annual basis.
